Top3Buys (top3buys.com) is a weekly buying-guide site. This page explains what data the site touches, plainly. Questions about any of it: privacy@top3buys.com.
The short version
- No accounts, no logins, no comment forms — you can’t give us personal data here even if you try.
- We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which links get clicked.
- Product links take you to retailers; what happens on their sites is governed by their policies.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with anyone for marketing. There is nothing to sell.
What we collect
The site has no user accounts and no forms. Our hosting provider (WP Engine) keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested — for security and uptime, as virtually every website’s host does. We don’t use those logs to identify visitors.
If we add an email newsletter later, signing up will be its own clear, separate choice, and this page will be updated to say exactly how that list is handled.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages get read, roughly where visitors come from, and which outbound links get clicked. GA4 sets cookies (names starting with _ga) and processes data on Google’s servers under Google’s privacy policy. We use this data only to make the site better — never for advertising, and we don’t combine it with any other data about you. Analytics is not loaded for the site’s own logged-in editors, so our own work doesn’t pollute the numbers either.
To opt out: block cookies for this site in your browser, or use Google’s own Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works identically either way.
Product links and retailers
Our guides link to retailers such as Amazon and manufacturers’ own stores. Clicking those links takes you off this site; the retailer’s own privacy policy and cookies apply there. Some of these links are, or may become, affiliate links that pay us a commission on purchases — that relationship is explained plainly on our affiliate disclosure page. Affiliate tracking is done by the retailer on the retailer’s site; it doesn’t send us personal information about you, only anonymous purchase totals.
Pinterest and social platforms
We publish our guides’ images to our Pinterest account (pinterest.com/top3buys). If you interact with our pins, that happens on Pinterest under Pinterest’s privacy policy. This site does not embed social widgets or tracking pixels from Pinterest or any other social platform.
Cookies, in full
Google Analytics cookies (_ga and variants) are the only cookies this site sets. There are no advertising cookies, no social-media cookies, and no third-party trackers beyond Analytics.
Your choices and rights
Because the site holds no personal data about you, there is usually nothing for us to look up, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold something about you, or you have any privacy question or request — including rights under laws like GDPR or the CCPA — email privacy@top3buys.com and a person will answer directly.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the change appears on this page with an updated date at the top. We don’t do silent edits — that’s a site-wide rule, not just a privacy-page one.
